It seems like there is nothing but disaster, contentious politics and conflict everywhere you look on mainstream news media. If you are like me and you think there must be good news somewhere – you are right. There is! I set myself the task to see if I could find that good news. It didn’t take long to find some really great sources of quality reporting on what is going right in the world.
Here are a few of those ‘good news’ sources (in no particular order):
The publisher is on a mission. He searches out and posts a single good news story each day. As he says, “My goal here is simply to remind people that behind all the negative noise there’s still a lot of good stuff happening.” No ads. No cost. Just one person’s labor of love. I signed up.
Started in 1997, this organization publishes good news stories from around the world. You can filter stories by categories that include, US, World, Inspiration, Animals and Heroes. Published in English and Spanish. Ads.
This blog by Corey Carter appears on the website of Wisconsin Radio Station WIXX. Corey seeks out and publishes everyday stories from around the United States of people helping people. Look for his 1:45 Feel Good stories.
Subscribe and a good news story, inspirational quote and suggested ‘goodness’ action arrive in your inbox every day. Or just read the website. Started in 1998 by a college student, DailyGood shares uplifting stories from around the world. I particularly like the Everyday Heroes section. You can also submit a story.
